3-4 Month Regression

Back to sleepless nights? Want to know what happened to your good little sleeper? The 3-4 month sleep regression can often strike hard and cause already exhausted parents to become painfully exhausted parents.

But why is your baby suddenly starting to wake up so often during the night? It’s simple your baby has entered a PROGRESSION. Instead of focusing on the regressing of sleep happening at night focus on what your baby is progressing with! Most of the time during the 3-4 month regression your baby is learning to roll over. This is exciting!

But I know, you are exhausted and you just want some of that sleep back. Here’s the trick: when baby is awake practice practice practice. Give him or her tummy time, place toys out of reach, get your baby to master this new skill. Once you baby is rolling like a champ chances are his or her sleep will go back to normal! It really can be that easy!

However, you have to work hard at night not to add in any new sleep associations. This is where many parents struggle and I know it’s hard! But maintaining good sleep habits will help you get out of this phase even faster!

If you are struggling with a regression, contact us today! We can chat one on one to help your child through the regression and PROGRESSION stage that they are in right now!
